June 27th, 2011 - Last Rotaract meeting of the Year

Hi Guys, 

Firstly, thank you all for participating this year. You all did a great job and it was very satisfying to work with you all on this project. 

So without further ado, here’s our last bit of happiness for the year:

Rotaractor Ash was happy that Sargent Stacy’s duties are done.

Secretary Iona was happy that she had no more minutes to take. 

Visitor Adrian was happy that he just got the best job in the world.  

Prospective Rotaractor Erin was happy that Amanda is going to be president and she was sad because Ash was making fun of her because she was in the newspaper.

Prospective Rotaractor Tivonia was happy to be with her family.

Rotaractor Ryan was happy that he was going to England. 

Rotaractor Don was happy that he had a decent drink that afternoon.

Visitor Ralpha was happy that she was invited to our club.

Prospective Rotaractor Olivia was happy that her brother turned 2. 

Rotaractor Inga was happy that she was the newest member of our club. 

Rotaractor Celeste was happy for the new year and new attendance record. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy she was going to North Carolina the following week.

IPP Janine was happy that she got to spend time with her brother.

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that summer vacation is here. 

Prospective Rotaractor Joanne was happy that dinner will be ready at home. 

Rotaractor Tammy was happy that she was going to Eleuthera the following week.

Rotaractor Takara was happy that she got to see a friend this week. 

Director Jaime was happy that he didn’t have to take happy/grumpy notes anymore. 

Rotaractor Candice was happy she was going to Paris. 

President Anne was happy that she was a good fit for her job. 

Sargent Stacy was happy that she didn’t have to give anymore jokes.

Rotaract East Nassau - June 6th

Hi Guys, 

It’s the last month of the Rotaract year and I’ve got some great news to announce. Our club, Rotaract Club of East Nassau was named the Club of the Year for District 7020 for the second year in a row! Thanks to you all for participating in this project as it contributed to our District success. 

So without further ado, here is why we where happy for our last Club Business meeting, held on June 6th. 

President Anne was happy that she was starting her new job the following week. 

Treasurer Karen was happy that her best friend had a baby.

Rotaractor Tammy was happy that there was a long weekend upcoming. 

Director Jaime was happy that Rotaract East Nassau was named District 7020 Club of the Year.

Rotaractor Don was happy that the holiday on the following weekend was also his birthday. 

Guest Olivia was happy that summer is her favorite time of the year. 

Prospective Rotaractor Inga was happy that she enjoyed her weekend and she feels rested. 

Secretary Iona was happier that Rotaract East Nassau was named District 7020 Club of the Year. 

Rotarator Ashley was happy that he was on his last week at his job. 

Director Amanda was happy that she got to meet wonderful people at District Conference. 

Guest Aria was also happy for the long holiday weekend. 

Rotarian Advisor Davin was happy that he was our adviser this year. 

Immediate Past President Janine was happiest that we the Club of the Year Award. 

Guest Joanne was happy that she didn’t have to work that week. 

Rotaractor Candice was happy she got to speak French with the Rotaractors from St. Maarten. 

Sergeant Stacy was happy to be back with us.

May 31st Meeting

Hi all, 

The following are our happy updates from our last meeting. The year is winding down so we only have a few more posts. We’ll keep them coming!

Rotaractor Candice was happy that the Avril Lavigne concert was awesome.

Secretary Iona was happy that we have a new venue. 

Rotaractor Anna was happy that she was going to England the following day. 

Rotaractor Don was happy that he has 4 work days that week. 

Rotaractor Ash was happy that the Bahamas rugby team won its match. 

Director Amanda was happy that her new born niece is healthy. 

Prospective Rotaractor Erin was happy that she made it through the week at her new job. 

Prospective Rotaractor Tivona was happy that her sister Aria brought her out to our meeting. 

IPP Janine was happy that we had a great social the day before. 

Prospective Rotaractor Christian was happy that he was scheduled to work during the upcoming holiday. 

President Anne was happy that RI Convention and New Orleans was fun. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that he had a relaxing weekend.

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that her students did well in their exams.

Prospective member Oliva was happy for health and her family. 

Treasurer Karen was happy that she has a new tie-died shirt.

Prospective Rotaractor Aria was happy that she made it through a long day. 

Rotaractor Tammy was happy that her cousin had a baby.

Hi Guys, 

We coming down to the end of our year, so here are the posts from our May Club Business meeting. 

Rotaractor Ash was happy that he was having shrimp for dinner. 

Visitor Simone was happy that BGCSE French exams were over. 

Rotaractor Candace was happy that she watched “Something borrowed”. 

Prospective Rotaractor Erine was happy that she was getting a new job and thus had two weeks vacation. 

Rotaractor Don was happy that his workshop was happening in two weeks time. 

Rotaractor Francheska was happy that she was going to Long Island.

Rotaractor Ryan was happy that the Lakers got beat. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that she was going to the Berry Islands. 

Rotarian Davin was happy that he just had a vacation. 

Community Service Director Jaime was happy that he got his Ipad skins. 

Visitor Amanda was happy that she was a guest at our meeting. 

Secretary Iona was happy that her sister and Aunt was coming to visit her.

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that she was going away the following week. 

Visitor Zena was happy that school is almost closed. 

Prospective Rotaractor Christian was happy that he was planning a trip to Cat Island. 

Vice President Rande was happy that the Champions League Finals were approaching. 

Rotaractor Celeste was happy that she was going to Trinidad. 

Club Service Director Amanda was happy that she was getting a niece the following week. 

Also, special thanks to Rotarian Davin who contributed his 50/50 raffle winnings to our Restavek cause.

Rotaract Club of East Nassau- April 18th, 2011

Hi guys, 

Here’s the update from our last Professional Development Meeting:

Vice President Rande was happy that summer is upon us. 

Rotaractor Candice was happy that she was back from her leave of absence. 

Rotaractor Tammy was grumpy that her family was going to Long Island of the Easter and she had to stay in Nassau.

Rotaractor Ryan was happy that he was going to Bermuda with the national rugby team. 

Rotaractor Anna was happy about the upcoming long weekend.

President Anne was happy that we had a good speaker. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that she had two good days on Rose Island. 

Director Jaime was happy that the NBA playoffs started. 

Secretary Iona was happy that her good friend was coming to visit this Wednesday. 

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that she was on vacation. 

Prospective Rotaractor Inga was happy that she didn’t have to cook that evening. 

Rotaractor Ashley was happy that he might be changing jobs. 

Sargent Stacy was just happy. 

Newest Rotaract Don was happy that he’d be freeing the dolphins on Wednesday.

Visitor Thomas was happy to be visiting with our club.

Visitor Erin was happy that she was also getting a new job.

Rotaract Club of East Nassau- March 28th, 2011

Hi guys, 


Just an update on last night’s meeting and our happiness.

Rotaractor Ash was happy that the Buc played well in Freeport. 

Rotaractor Anna was happy that she had the day off from work.

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that all her students now understand subtraction.

Secretary Iona was happy that Masqued was good. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that she had a  day weekend.

Prospective Rotaractor Inga was happy to be visiting with us. 

Director Jaime was happy that he got a PS3.

PDG Rotarian John was happy to hear about all the good PRI Barry is doing in Haiti.  

PRI Director Barry was happy that our Rotaract club is very strong. 

Treasurer Karen was happy that her best friend Savanna is visiting this weekend.

PP Rotarian Lindsey was happy that Masqued is finished. 

Visiting Rotarian Jackie was happy that she has a great GSE team. 

President Anne was happy she won $550 playing poker online. 

Prospective Rotaractor Don was happy that his rugby team made the championship.

Rotaract Club of East Nassau- March 14th, 2011

Hello All! 

As we all know, World Rotaract Week was from March 7th-14th. However, our Club Business Meeting was held as scheduled on the 14th of March. It was a great meeting as we had eight Rotarians from our sponsoring Rotary club visiting with us. 

Additionally, in keeping with our commitment to our Restavek project, our President and myself (Community & International Service Director) visited a local radio station to spread the word about the plight of the Restaveks. 

Here’s a breakdown of what our visiting Rotarians were happy about:

President Joanne was happy that people were instantly mobilizing to help Japan.

Past President Lindsey was happy that the Masqued catalog was finished.

Rotarians Corrine, Desiray and Lee was happy to be visiting with us.

Rotarian Davin was that time has changed so he can have BBQ’s in his backyard on evenings. 

PDG John was happy that he won his bout with the flu.

Rotarian Gary was happy that he was a cancer survivor. 

And now for the Rotaractors!…..

Director Jaime was happy that his father was out of the hospital.

Newest Rotaractor Anna was happy that she was inducted that night.

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that her sister was coming home. 

President Anne was happy that our club has 18 members now.

Director Amanda was happy about our club’s joint cancer walk with the two other Rotaract clubs in Nassau.

Rotaractor Celeste was happy that we was getting a kitten.

Rotaractor Rande was happy that his Bucs rugby team won.

Prospective Rotaractor Don was happy that he got to leave his office at 5pm today. 

Rotaractor Ash was happy that his life was moving forward. 

Secretary Iona was happy that she had her Mask for Masqued.

Sergeant Stacy was happy that she’s just a happy person.

So there you have it folks, a really great meeting and great fellowship as well. Happy World Rotaract Week to all.


Rotaract East Nassau’s Happiness for February 28, 2011

Hi Guys,

It’s that time again for our happy updates. 

President Anne was happy that she was going to Florida.

Secretary Iona was happy that she went to Rose Island for the first time. 

Club Service Director Amanda was happy that she was traveling to Florida.

Community Service Director was happy that the new airport looks fantastic.

Treasurer Karen was happy that she too was traveling to Florida.

Rotaractor Tammy was happy that her grandmother was doing well and is recovering from a stroke. 

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that she was halfway through her reports at work.

Rotaractor Francheska was happy that President Anne is staying in the Bahamas, happy that she visited the Grand Canyon, and also happy that she had channa masala for dinner that night. 

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that she had a vacation last week. 

Prospective Rotaractor Anna was happy that she was going to Cat Island to visit.

Prospective Rotaractor Don was happy that his bike was paying for itself with reduced gas consumption.

Visiting Rotaractor Guillaume was happy to be at our meeting. (he was in town from Paris, France) 

Rotarian Lindsey was happy that he was back safely in Nassau.

Rotaract Club of East Nassau- February 7th, 2011

Hello All,

The following are the reasons why our members and guests were happy at our last meeting, held on February 7th, 2011.

Sergeant Stacy was happy about getting some papaya chutney.

Visitor Anna was just happy.

President Anne was happy that we have a new board of directors. 

Rotaractor Ryan was happy that he was related to Club Service Director Amanda.

Visitor Don was happy that he was not sitting in traffic.

Rotaractor Janelle was happy that she survived the weekend.

Rotaractor Tammy was happy that her exam was over. 

Director Jaime was happy that he might get a retail outlet in the new airport. 

Rotaractor Bianca was happy that she would be off from work the following week.

Treasurer Karen was happy that she was done with inventory.

Immediate Past President was happy that she had a good weekend in South Beach.

Rotaractor Francheska was happy that Noelle got her green card.

Rotaract Club of St. Augustine

Hi everyone,

                  I know its been a while but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! Lol Our club has definately enjoyed sharing our happy, sad and grumpy moments with each other as well as other clubs.

The following responses were recorded on the 27th November, 2010:

Secretary Olivia was happy to be at the meeting today after having a hectic day and night.

Rotaractor Hector was sad that he had lost his phone this week but was happy that he got a new one.

Director Larry was happy that Rotaractor Hector and Secretary Olivia didn’t drink so that he could have collected their refreshment stubs at the Rotary Club of Chaguanas Charter Dinner. He was also happy that our club was well represented at the dinner. However, he was sad because the compressor in his car stopped working today.

Prospective Rotaractor Suvita was sad because she couldn’t share a cup of Ritual’s iced coffee with her friends but was happy that they were able to get a cup at Mario’s to share their beverage.

Vice President Danielle was happy to make it through traffic to make it to our meeting and she was also happy to be able to travel to Presidents Meeting this week.

Rotaractor Kevon was happy that he received compliments for a presentation he did on International Mens Day.

The following responses were recorded on the 22nd January, 2011:

Rotaractor Hector was grumpy because he wasn’t successful in obtaining the passing grade for the last course he needed to complete his Master’s degree program.

Director Christo was sad because he was afflicted with a headache for the entire day. However, he was happy because he got his new vehicle today and he was blessed with good health and strength.

Prospective Rotaractor Anita was happy that she passed all her difficult courses at school with good grades.

Rotaractor Nirmala was happy that she passed all her courses at school.

President Buddy was happy about his son’s healthy progress. However, he was grumpy because he was frustrated with his Diploma in Education courses.

Rotarian Ramesh was happy to be alive and attending our meeting. However, he was sad that he had to demolish a building that he is in the process of rebuilding.

Director Alhana was grumpy about having to relocate and find a new place to live at the end of last semester but was happy that she found a new place that she loves.

Secretary Olivia was happy to be alive and at the meeting.
